Maker's bio

My work combines my training in painting with the ancient art of felt-making to celebrate and bring together the different skills of wet felting, needle felting and hand sewing. I uses wool to ‘paint’ with, needle felting to refine the detail and hand sewing for extra texture. I have a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, P.G.C.E. in Secondary Art Education. I teach felt making workshops in Aberford which has free roadside parking and is within 30 minutes drive of Leeds, Harrogate and York.

"I attended the dry felting course and found it to be a wonderful learning day. Small classes, all supplies available to use and a free cup of tea made it an ideal environment to enjoy the course and meet a group of lovely people. Janine, was informative and very helpful. She answered all the questions, showed up what to do step by step and walked around giving you tips and ideas for your work. Very enjoyable, nice craft to learn, well worth going."
