"Harriet did an early session of this course for us recently so that we could make some gifts to send to friends and relatives abroad. Harriet was a great teacher and we really enjoyed ourselves. She let us make whatever we wanted but gave us excellent guidance and tuition. It’s amazing what you can make with clay! I can’t recommend Harriet’s courses enough, she’s a great teacher, very patient and quite entertaining too. A very enjoyable way to spend a few hours. Loved it."

"We made a detour to come spend an afternoon with Harriet and we aren't the type that are normally into pottery...however. Harriet made it fun, interactive and just...well..pretty hilarious. We had a great afternoon with her and came out with more than we expected (We were expecting to only be capable of ashtrays) but we actually made some awesome pots with her tutelage! She's an amazing human being and teacher, I can't recommend her highly enough. She kept great communication before our session too, she's a real star. I promise if you book with her, you won't regret it!"

Myself and my gf visited recently, had never really had a proper go of pottery since High School and found Harriet to be incredibly friendly and patient with us. "We went as a party of 4 so the time was extended to 4 hours. It was a relaxed and casual environment in a lovely little garden studio which made us feel comfortable. We all had a 1:1 guided session on the wheel and some extra time to play around. Harriet provided excellent guidance throughout and we produced some awesome pieces."

"I bought this course as a present for my girlfriend. It was a brilliant joint activity, Harriet really knows her stuff and makes you feel very welcome. Neither of us had any experience on a pottery wheel since school, but we left with two pieces we were very impressed with! I made a mug and my girlfriend made a little bowl that looks as good as the pottery she buys in a shop. My girlfriend is thinking about doing another course with her dad as we both really enjoyed it."

"Had a great time being shown the tricks to create a pair of lovely cylinders on the wheel by Harriet. Very relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the time just flew by. I'm not a complete beginner but I needed some tuition to correct my skills on the wheel and this was achieved very easily. I'd recommend the experience to anyone. I'll be going back to collect my pots which are going to be glazed and fired as they are just brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed the time. Will take another class at some point in the future , to expand my skills."

"We’ve always wanted to try pottery and this course offered an excellent ‘taster’ as it was just the two of us with Harriet. She was very welcoming, patient and encouraging, demonstrating techniques well and explaining the process. We both enjoyed ‘having a go’ and, with Harriet’s guidance, encouragement and her ‘can do attitude’, we made a plant pot and bowls. We really enjoyed the course and would recommend to anyone else wanting to have a go. Thanks very much, Harriet!"

"I bought this for myself and my Dad to do as his Christmas present; and he absolutely loved it! He has wanted to do it since he was a school boy so he was literally beaming from ear to ear throughout. We had to rearrange timings but Harriet was very flexible which was greatly appreciated. When we arrived on the day, Harriet was amazing with both of us, as Dad and I clearly had different skill levels. As a gift it was brilliant and we had something to look forward to! "I bought this for my mum as a birthday present; we both went together and had an absolutely brilliant time - such good fun! Harriet was lovely and looked after us with tea, and was very patient! The two hours flew past and by the end we had created a lovely set of tea beakers, a small pot and a jug and were feeling very proud of ourselves! There's a great tearoom just down the road too, the perfect place to end the day with tea and cake (there are even vegan options!). Thanks so much Harriet - we'll definitely be back!"

"I booked this class as an early Father’s Day for my Dad as he had always wanted to have a go at pottery, we definitely got our money’s worth! We both made 4/5 items each, all to a high quality due to Harriet’s perfect tutoring and guidance. We were chuffed with the results! We also got the option to return and glaze the items when they are dry. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wanted to try a throwing class with no pressure and in a relaxed in environment!
