Faye Broadway reviewed: Glass Bead Workshop (lampwork glass)

"As a birthday present to me, and a Christmas present from myself to my daughter, we celebrated in style with this course. Received a warm welcome from Sarah (plus the other ladies there) and a cuppa also. Sarah explained everything to us about how we would proceed and also the H&S aspects also. Everything was extremely well demonstrated and explained to us. The colour choices were fabulous. Sarah watched over us and guided us through. I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone. We were delighted to see the beads and can’t wait to show them off. We will book a session again to do some independent making (though I’m sure we will probably ask for lots more advice)! Honestly an amazing experience. "

Jane Meek reviewed: Fused Glass Coasters or Small Dish

"Absolutely loved doing this course. I was a bit apprehensive about going on my own and my lack of artistic ability. Jane put everyone at their ease by her humorous approach. Very informative on the instruction part and supportive when we were creating our glassware. I throughly enjoyed it and would like to attend another course in the future. Will recommend it to my friends."

I purchased as a gift for me and my partner and we weren't sure what to expect having never done anything like it but we thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to see our finished items once they've been in the furnace. We will definitely be back again!"

Anne reviewed: Crushed Glass Dish Workshop

"As a complete beginner and self declared as lacking creativity, I thoroughly enjoyed this work shop. Jane was very welcoming, knowledgeable and supportive. After taking us through the skills and tools we needed to complete our project, we had a varied selection of designs and glass colours to choose from. Jane was on hand to give as little or as much support and advice as needed. I really enjoyed seeing what the more experienced and creative people were doing too. Look forward to my dish arriving by post! "

Kathryn reviewed: 2 Hour Fused Glass Workshop with Glass Quarter Designs

"Honestly the most fun I’ve had in ages. Jane is so charismatic and witty, she had us in stitches the whole time. Fab balance between teaching a craft and giving the learner the freedom to express themselves. Jane demonstrated the techniques, then was on hand to help with any tricky bits. She welcomed our ideas and showed us various ways of achieving in glass what we had sketched on paper. She was very encouraging but not patronising and she really knows her craft. The course was fairly priced too. I have attended craft courses before which cost the earth and weren’t nearly as good as this one. There was no scrutiny over the amount of materials we were using to achieve our design which meant it was really relaxed and fun. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you so much Jane. "

G Vose reviewed: Imprint Glass Fusing

"We had the most wonderful afternoon with Charlotte in the glass workshop. There was an excellent, very wide choice of options of things to make and of possible ways to create your piece with different materials and techniques once decided on. Charlotte’s tuition was excellent - clear instructions given in a friendly, encouraging way. The group size is only 6, allowing plenty of time and help for each participant. We had lots of laughs - plus mugs of tea and biscuits. Thank you Charlotte 🙂👍🌈"

"I really enjoyed my morning with Jane at Glass Quarter Design. I wanted to learn about fused glass and Jane was really knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. I was shown lots of different techniques from cutting and smashing glass to drilling. I drew out my design and Jane guided me suggesting subtle colour changes and ideas. I could quite happily have stayed all day ? Really looking forward to collecting my finished, fired item next weekend. I will definitely be back to do another glass course soon. Thank-you!!"

Beth reviewed: Fused glass, crushed glass dish workshop, Stourbridge

"This course was amazing! It was my first attempt at doing anything to do with glass, I'd been wanting to try something for a while and it did not disappoint. Jane and her helper were amazing with teaching us about cutting glass, giving advice and making us all feel relaxed and creative so that we could make something unique. Brilliant day. The studio was amazing and in a brilliant location, with lots of other arty shops and studios to look around afterwards. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!"

Michelle reviewed: Mosaic Bird Bath Workshop

"I really enjoyed the course. There were 5 of us and the range of ceramic and glass was extensive so everyone could find the colours and styles that reflected them. Sarah is a natural and the tuition was clear and friendly, but our own preferences and choices was encouraged so nobody ended up with the same as anyone else and it felt genuinely creative. I am so pleased with what I have made. The slate background with the mosaic feels substantial and artisan in quality. I travelled a distance for this course and it was worth the effort and worth every penny. The café was lovely for lunch and cake and it was reassuring to find a large carpark and nice toilets on site. I am booking to make another as soon as I can as Sarah had a wonderful seagull that would look great in our bathroom!"

"Did this course today and had a blast. Shown how to cut glass, ways of using coloured glass and moulds of different shapes. The glass was in every colour you could think of and possibilities of design endless. I made a couple of pieces and really pleased with my end results and looking forward to my work once fired. Jane and her co-helper were very helpful, patient and created a wonderfully relaxed environment. A great way to treat yourself and made something beautiful."
