"My son really enjoyed making the large rainbow project with me especially the bit with the water. We have had a lot of art projects to do re schoolwork and he has been drawing rainbows for the local shop windows, Fire station - Dad works there and for the elderly who don’t have young grandchildren. Thanks again."

"Just spent a couple of lovely afternoons making felted soaps guided by Judi's excellent and clear instructions! Really hepful photos to support the instructions. Despite not having done this before, I was very pleased with what I made and would recommend "having a play"! Helpfully, Judi was able to supply materials which came quickly and helpfully bagged up to keep them safe."

Emily reviewed: Nuno felt a silk scarf in fine merino wools and silks with Judi Binks

"This was my second course with Judi and I brought my friend along for a birthday treat. It was super to learn another felting skill - quite different from the landscape felting last time. The nuno involved more care in planning the design and choosing the colours as I wanted to make a scarf to complement my usual colours of outfits. The actual process was quite technical because a scarf has to be well finished and made to last. Judi kept us going with lots of coffee, cakes and a delicious home cooked lunch. It was a very memorable day, as it was both fun and educational as well. Judi is an inspirational teacher and always helpful and quick to problem solve if there is a snag. It was a grand day. Thank you!"

Felting in Devon responded:

" Hi Emily, I'm so lucky to have such an appreciative student like you. Thank you. So glad you enjoyed this course. See you soon. Best wishes. Judi"

Martha D reviewed: Nuno felt a silk scarf in fine merino wools and silks with Judi Binks

"Nuno felting was an unknown craft to me before yesterday but I was soon swept away with the colours and textures of the wools and silk fibres and settled to design a scarf to suit me! Judi was funny, helpful and patient. She made it enjoyable and easy to follow, but shared her extensive knowledge. I had a totally absorbing and creative day. The scarf will be worn with pride. Thanks Judi."

Felting in Devon responded:

" Martha, thank you for your kind review and I'm so pleased that nuno is no longer an unknown nuno! I'm delighted you enjoyed it and you certainly achieved a stunning scarf. Thanks again. Judi"

Lyn Wills reviewed: Nuno felt a silk scarf in fine merino wools and silks with Judi Binks

"I had no idea what Nuno Felting was before this course...but now I do! I have tried many crafts and really enjoyed this. It was great to try something completely different. Judi was completely engaged with her craft and very enthusiastic. The choice of materials was excellent and I look forward to wearing my finished piece. Many thanks, Judi"

Felting in Devon responded:

" Dear Lyn, Thank you for this brilliant review. I'm so glad we managed to re work that grey edging as it turned out to be both strong and elegant. Well done! I've posted photos on my blog and I think I sent you the link. Please send me a photograph of the finished dry scarf. It was lovely to meet you both, stay in touch. Have a good weekend. Judi"

Jan Davies reviewed: Wet Felt a beautiful neck warmer for Spring- in fine Merino wools and silks

"Booked a whole day workshop with Judi, first time doing any felting! A lovely welcome when my friend and I arrived with a good explanation of how the day would go. Then introduced to a 'sweet shop' of beautiful wools, silks, and other possible embellishments, almost too many to choose from. Then off to the studio to start our practice piece, learning how to felt into the fine silk. Then the fun of choosing colours for our finished scarves. Judi is very knowledgeable, and encouraging. More work to do to finish our scarves at home, my goodness the day went quickly! A delicious lunch too! A great day, would definitely recommend this workshop, thank you so much Judi."

Felting in Devon responded:

" Dear Jan, Thank you so much - it was an absolute pleasure to show you some nuno felting techniques, with your natural artistry and skills. Please send photograph of fully finished scarf. I've sent you a separate link to my Blog feltingindevon showing all the tutorial links. Have a great week and stay in touch. Judi ?"

Rose Bailey reviewed: Wet Felt a beautiful neck warmer for Spring- in fine Merino wools and silks

"Would highly recommend to crafters at any level. Judi is an experienced and talented teacher. Everything was well prepared with a vast range of materials to choose from. She was encouraging at all stages of the process, which was so clearly explained (and backed up with handout), that I would feel confident about trying another neckwarmer at home. (Watch out relatives -guess what youll be getting next Xmas!) As for the neckwarmer that I made - I am delighted with the result, and had not expected to come away with something quite so beautiful....and professional looking? . Many, many thanks Judi, for such an enjoyable and productive morning!"

Felting in Devon responded:

" Dear Rose, Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to write such a positive review. It was really lovely to meet you and your felting was fantastic. Stay in touch. Judi x"

Peter venton reviewed: Wet Felt a beautiful neck warmer for Spring- in fine Merino wools and silks

"What a delightful way to spend a Sunday morning! With clear and careful guidance Judi showed us how to lay out the first two base layers of our scarf and then to add a third design layer of silk scraps, bamboo silks and silk mawatas in contrasting colours. The colours were amazing and we were encouraged to try out our own ideas. We'd definitely like to do this as again and my wife who has reduced mobility is now wearing her very own nuno felted scarf. Judi is an inspirational teacher and nothing is too much trouble for her. Highly recommend this workshop."

Felting in Devon responded:

" Dear Peter, I'm so glad you both enjoyed the workshop. It was lovely to meet you. Judi"

"Judi came to our place to run a special workshop for 3 adults with learning difficulties. With her enthusiasm, colourful materials and excellent teaching skills, we all had a thoroughly enjoyable experience making short scarves to wear as neckwarmers. Everyone made something special to be proud of and at every stage Judi was patient and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I've been asked to post three short reviews on behalf of the residents. Thank you."
