Maker's bio

Hello, my name is Judi Binks and I'm a felting and fibre artist. I love to teach felting in small groups. Felting has transformed into an art form producing paintings and wall hangings. I'm inspired by the beautiful Devon landscape that surrounds me, with the sheep in the field I can see from my studio window. I also exhibit my felted paintings in South West France. At my farmhouse in Charente-Maritime, I offer Felting Retreat Holidays in June and September for special breaks.

Liz reviewed: Wet felt a beautiful rainbow kit- suitable for all ages.

"My youngest son loved getting involved in making a rainbow for his grandparents in lockdown. There was enough wool to make two! Beautiful colours and great instructions which were easy to follow."

Caitlin S reviewed: Wet Felt a vibrant wallhanging in fine merino wools with silk embellishments.

"My son really enjoyed making the large rainbow project with me especially the bit with the water. We have had a lot of art projects to do re schoolwork and he has been drawing rainbows for the local shop windows, Fire station - Dad works there and for the elderly who don’t have young grandchildren. Thanks again."

"I absolutely love the colours of this kit which comes with clear instructions yet a chance to be original. My first one is for my office wall to cheer me up. Great kit and good value."

"Hi Judi, Thanks for all your help with your step by step guide. The rainbow turned out better than I expected and Fraser really enjoyed making it, especially the bit with the water. Will be attempting the felt soaps next, thanks for adding them in. Ruari is even going to give it a go. Take care and stay safe. Thanks Gail"
