"What an amazing experience!! Having had this experience as a birthday present and having never made jewellery before I was welcomed and made some amazing pieces of jewellery. Mark was so friendly , patient and helped encourage my creative nature into a ring which I love. The course was informative and full of interesting jewellery facts which was excellent to absorb and learn. This will be a course which I will definitely be doing again and recommend to others, beginners or not. "

"What an amazing experience. Mark is a great tutor with the patience of a saint. Everything was explained comprehensively with demonstrations then we were given plenty of time to practise our new found skills with Mark helping and advising along the way. We managed to complete 3 pieces of jewellery each within the day to take home, admire and show off to our friends and family. I could not recommend the beginners day course enough. Thank you, we will be back :)"

"I spent an excellent day with Mark at his studio. Both Mark and Terri were very welcoming and friendly and I was made to feel instantly at ease. I was lucky enough to be the only person booked in on that date and so received Mark's undivided attention and he was able to tailor the session to my interests and skill level. He is clearly an excellent jeweller and a very good teacher. I'd recommend this course to anyone with an interest in making their own jewellery, and I hope to attend further sessions with Mark in the future."

Check your directions don’t just rely on Sat Nav as it’s in a real beautiful spot with little reception. (Or find a local postie to direct you like I did). A perfect creative retreat for a fab day. "Me and my mum went on this course today for a treat and had a great time! We started off making our own rings with Mark's guidance before starting our own projects. The quality of the finish we were able to achieve is beautiful. I made a lovely pair of leaf drop earrings (which I'm wearing now!) and my mum made a pretty bangle with a charm - she's always struggled to find one that fits as her wrists are so small but now she's got one made to measure. Mark and Terri were really patient, friendly and welcoming and we would definitely recommend a trip to them for this course!"

"I attended this course with my Mum as a Mothers Day gift. We were both quite apprehensive having never done anything like this before. It was such a fantastic day! Mark is incredibly knowledgeable, interesting and so patient. We both made 3 pieces of jewellery each which is simply amazing. The session was relaxed, comfortable and Mark provided plenty of reassurance to us as we figured things out. Both Terri & Mark are so warm and welcoming. It’s sparked an interest and I will certainly be back for another session. I cannot recommend this course highly enough! "

"What a lovely day! It was the first try for me and my friend at jewellery making and I don’t think we could have chosen better. Mark is such a good teacher, he’s so skilled and knowledgeable about all and everything to do with his craft and that workshop is equipped with everything you could ever need! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and feel quite proud of the rings and earrings we managed to make. The whole day was really easy going and Mark and Terri are so warm and friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this workshop, and hopefully we’ll be back soon! "

"My wife and I had a great day learning to make jewelry. Mark is a wonderful teacher and Terri a lovely host. We had so much fun making rings, ear rings, a bangle and pendant. Mark made it a fun laid back day where you could give everything a go and understand what and why you were doing things. We can not rate this day highly enough."

"I agree with the previous reviews. I have just had a fabulous day at Dandelion Silver on a beginner’s course for jewellery making. Mark made me feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I had a fabulous day. Mark is a fantastic tutor and we left with some lovely pieces of jewellery. I agree with previous posts it was very good value for money. I made a set of stacker rings two individual rings with a stone setting and an individual wide band ring. You can tell I like my rings. Mark is very patient and explains everything you need to know to complete your projects, which are entirely your own choice. My daughter was so impressed I feel that we could be going back together later on in the year to have some more fun. It was Brilliant would recommend to anyone. "

"I had a fantastic day at Dandelion Silver. Mark was a very patient teacher and I practiced different techniques used within the making of various pieces. Mark encouraged me to take my design one step further in which I developed even more skills and knowledge. Lunch was very tasty being a variety of sandwiches and wraps with cakes and biscuits. There were generous amounts of tea/coffee offered throughout the day. I was so happy to learn some new skills and show off my beautiful pieces ☺️"

"Brilliant day! We were made very welcome by Terri and Mark. After a reviving coffee we trooped off to a Tardis-like workshop equipped with every piece of kit you could possibly need. Mark was excellent at explaining the techniques and encouraged us to try everything. A delicious lunch fed our creativity for the afternoon. We all came away with some lovely pieces and great memories. I would totally recommend this course."

"I can't recommend a jewellery making workshop with Mark highly enough. My mum and I had the most brilliant day. Mark is a excellent teacher, we were complete beginners and he took his through every step, showing us what to do and guiding and encouraging us to complete our pieces entirely ourselves. We learnt so many techniques! Mark helped us to choose the designs we liked best and create completely unique jewellery. My mum is a bit of a perfectionist, Mark recognised this and took extra time with her to measure and line up the silver stamps just right so she would be really happy with what she made. I wanted to make a gift for a loved one and Mark went over and above to help me make something a bit more complex and I am so excited by the final product. We opted to have the lunch and Terri treated us to a lovely lunch of sandwiches, pastries, and cake - plus lots of tea throughout the day! We had a really happy day, with cheery, relaxed conversation tinkering away in Mark's treasure trove of a workshop. Thank you so much!! "

"I had a fantastic day with Mark learning some of the techniques involved in making silver jewellery. He is a very good teacher taking you through each process and explaining what it does and what it is for. We started off making a ring and then moved on to more complex pieces. I came away with 3 pieces of jewellery which I love and will wear regularly. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning about this craft and am still amazed at what I achieved under Mark’s careful tuition."

"I really enjoyed the one-day beginners course with Mark, which I did as part of week's break in the Peak District. He was very patient and good at explaining the different techniques while letting me try them out and helped me find a way of translating my rough ideas for a piece of jewellery into something achievable on the day. I made a ring in the morning and then used a casting technique to make a pendant in the afternoon, which I was very pleased with. I was a complete beginner, but this was a good taster and has definitely piqued my interest in doing some more work with silver. Mark is very friendly and a great teacher - I would recommend the course."

"A really enjoyable day with Mark in his garden workshop, making a silver ring and 2 sets of earrings. We were allowed to get stuck in and to use a variety of tools, with good instruction throughout. There are endless choices on what you can make and Mark helped our whacky ideas come to life. You will get excited to see your jewelry taking shape and times flies! We took a packed lunch and it was nice to sit outside in the sunshine and have a chat mid way through the course. Mark was relaxed, friendly and a good tutor. I would happily recommend this course."
