Maker's bio

CLP is a registered charity, specialising in very high quality arts & crafts courses for families and adults. Based just outside Watford , most of our courses are very heavily-subsidised by Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Services. Our tutors are fully-qualified and experienced, and you'll experience a warm and friendly atmosphere here, always with refreshments and cake! We provide inclusive learning experiences, and are very supportive if you experience conditions such as anxiety.

Christine Wyard reviewed: Social Media Content

"I was not very happy that we did not have an overhead projector which was really important for the lessons"

Community Learning Partnership responded:

" Hi Christine - thanks for your feedback. The projector was working, but the tutor experienced a fault on his HDMI port. We've successfully tested it with one of our own laptops, so it will be in operation for the rest of the course :-) "

Teresa Newcombe reviewed: Watercolour Course online + kit

"Hubby and I really enjoyed this session. The time flew by and we are amazed how much was covered despite having to do induction. The paper and paints provided are top quality. Natalie is an excellent and patient tutor. The pack is inspiring and I feel excited and motivated to find time to practice before the next session!"

Community Learning Partnership responded:

" I'm so pleased you both enjoyed your first session so much! Induction is a necessity on the HAFLS courses as they are funded by the ESFA, but we hope it helps to make sure the courses are fully inclusive. Imagine how much more time you'll have to paint next week! Natalie is, indeed, an inspiration and I look forward to seeing your artwork as the course progresses. If you haven't already, do join us on our FaceBook group, CLP Mixed Media Art, as there are more opportunities to be inspired and to share - Eliz :-)"

Kathryn Livermore reviewed: Watercolour Course online + kit

"Really enjoyed the first session with Natalie- looking forward to the next! I learnt techniques that I’d no previous idea about! I also felt more confident at the end of the session due to Natalie’s encouragement and teaching . Thank you"

Community Learning Partnership responded:

" I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your first session, Kathryn, especially as so much of the first week is taken up with induction etc! If you've learned new techniques in week 1, just think of all that you will go on to achieve by week 10! Natalie is very talented herself, and a really good teacher who inspires everybody in her classes. I look forward to seeing your artwork in due course! Eliz :-)"
