I started work as a hydrographic surveyor following a degree in marine geology.
Whilst it might be a bit of a leap from dredging up clay to using it on a potter’s wheel, the influence of the marine environment is evident in my work. I use coloured liquid clay (slip) which provides a fantastic fluid palette for me to explore geological and marine geomorphology patterns.
A member of both the Midlands and, Westcountry Potters Associations I run market stalls across Worcestershire and beyond.

Chris Greening Pottery responded:
"Hi Sam.
Many thanks for your lovely review.
Your pots are currently drying nicely and so will be in the kiln for their first firing later this week. They'll then get their second (glaze) firing and will be available for collection shortly afterwards.
I'll be in touch again to arrange that with you soon.
Best wishes
Chris "

"Hi Robyn,
Lovely to meet you and Charlotte yesterday and really pleased you enjoyed the session; you made and decorated some lovely pots.
These are now drying nicely on the shelves and should be with you in a few weeks time; I'll be in contact to let you know when they are ready to collect.
Best wishes, Chris."
"My daughter and I had a fabulous morning. Although neither of us had any experience whatsoever we were really pleased with the results. Chris is a knowledgeable and patient teacher and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend. 😊"
Chris Greening Pottery responded:
"Many thanks for the positive review Sarah - it's always nice to allay someone's fears that all they are going to end up with at the end of the session is a flopped mass of mush! Your pots are lovely! They're now drying nicely on the shelves and should be with you in a few weeks time.
Best wishes, Chris."
"Sign up now! We had a thoroughly brilliant evening throwing two pots each with Chris in his studio. Chris is a clear, gentle and encouraging teacher and under his tuition we were both delighted with the results of our endeavours, which will be posted on to us after firing."
Chris Greening Pottery responded:
"Many thanks for such a lovely positive review Jenny. It was a very good session - some lovely pots made and thrown with "vigour"!! They are now drying nicely on the shelf and should be with you in 3-4 weeks time. Best wishes, Chris."
