We made 5 pieces each and were were really happy with all of them - even the vase with no hole that is now a hair bobble holder! I would highly recommend this glass blowing course."

Angie, Chris and Steve were all so friendly towards everyone in the group. I thoroughly enjoyed the morning there and I highly recommend doing this experience because it's very hands on and you will return home with some really good pieces of glass. "Have just got back from doing this course and would thoroughly recommend it! Had a fantastic day and great laugh with Steve, Chris and Angie. All very patient and highly skilled. Was amazed at how hands on the course actually is, starting from how to use the various tools, to eventually putting the molten glass in and out of the blast furnace - all the time under expert control and eye of Steve and Chris. Don't delay book this course now!"

"We did a taster course with Chris and both of us thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend. Chris made the morning informative and fun, he is also very patient and let us do as much as we could but would step in to rescue our attempts when needed, this meant we were able to bring home some lovely pieces. The experience has made a lasting memory we will be talking about for years to come."

"We had a fantastic experience glass blowing our baubles. The teacher went out of the way to make it memorable and it was really hands on. The process was well explained and unlike some experiences where you only have minimal involvement in the process, it felt like these were our baubles and we were involved in every stage. Thoroughly recommend!"

"What an experience. I was bought this course as a birthday present and had no knowledge or experience with glass. I arrived nervous about dealing with molten glass but left feeling ecstatic and quite proud. Chris and Joy were friendly and attentive offering just the right amount of help and with Chris’ clear instructions at each step I created 2 vases, a bowl and a paperweight. It wasn’t long before I was shaping, blowing, stretching and transferring the glass between rods. It is a fascinating process and so much fun. I would recommend this course to everyone who is looking for a very different way to use up their creativity. The best bit was Chris’ teaching ability breaking it all down in to steps. He was very supportive but equally happy for you to take the reins when you were ready and celebrated each piece being finished with a happy high five. What a wonderful experience."

"Did this course with my sister yesterday and still buzzing from it. Chris and Steve were great (and patient) instructors and kept us laughing all morning. Didn’t know what kind of thing to expect going into it but I’m so glad I went. We got to make a whole bunch of things, way more than expected and I actually learned things about the process too. Can’t wait to see my finished pieces, however wonky they may be! Would definitely go back again for more."

"This was a present for my husband and one of the best I have ever given him! This sort of course relies heavily on the instructors, and he came home buzzing and saying how great they were. His glass arrived yesterday and watching his excitement as he open the box and explained how each piece was made was delightful. 5 stars isn’t enough, this was well beyond excellent. We are trying to think of all the other people that we want to give this too now, it’s too good to leave! Thank you Steve and Chris"

"I can honestly say.. the whole morning was better than I had thought it would be in everyway! The venue is set in a beautiful little farm shop, we got to make 5 pieces.. when I thought we would make 1 or 2.. and the staff were both very welcoming, helpful, patient and amazing ! The pieces we got to make were a small vase, a longer vase, a coloured vase and 2 coloured paperweights.. I use the term 'vase' loosely.. mine wasn't very good haha - however this didn't take away from how fun the event was ! I would 100% recommend this and wish the team at Chew Valley Handmade Glass the best for the future ! I will hopefully be back soon ! :D !"
