We enjoyed Bridget's sun printing course. We didn't really know what to expect & luckily as it was a sunny day & we got to try a variety of printing techniques out in the open air. We produced a range of samples & now I've seen what's possible, I'm keen to do more & try out other objects. It was also very interesting to learn about the history of sunprinting from Bridget.
Thoroughly enjoyed Bridget's Cyanotype day and came home with two stunning lampshades, lovely cushion and a million ides. Bridget is a very competent and patient tutor and clearly has thought of everything. I will look forward to planning another trip as its such an uplifting day in itself, to see so many lovely examples of what is possible. Lovely lunch and chatter in the sunshine and will definitely consider giving the experience to friends for birthdays or Christmas.
Thankyou for sharing such a lovely skill Bridget!
Response from Bridget Arnold:Thank you Linda
A well organised course. Bridget was a knowledgable and patient tutor. Well explained. We both made two excellent lampshades which reinforced techniques. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and had B&B too which was great after a busy day. It was lovely to see Bridget’s work around the house lit up in its glory.
A lovely day spent learning about sun printing and trying out the techniques. Came away with two fabric prints and four paper prints which are now on display at home. A welcoming and sociable atmosphere meant I really enjoyed the workshop.
A great Christmas present for my Mum. The course was run for just 3 of us in Bridget's home, so the tuition was very clear. We came away with lovely silk scarves or cushions.
Response from Bridget Arnold:Thank you for the review
Bridget was well organised with equipment, materials, space and inspiration in a calm setting. Demonstrations were clear as were explanations and guidance. I am proud of the end product. A very creative, enjoyable day.

what a lovely day spent in beautiful surroundings, learning a new craft. Bridget was a very patient, supportive and encouraging tutor. I love the finished article and it has taken pride of place at home. Cake and lunchtime conversation was also rewarding...
A great day off from the busyness of NHS working
thank you Bridget

A lovely workshop delivered in a very friendly and covid sensible way. We loved testing the boundaries with the art a little - and Bridget let us explore new techniques, which was fun. We are really delighted with our shades and keen to learn more about the history of the technique.
Response from Bridget Arnold:Thanks for the lovely review Juliette
A wonderful, memorable and sunny day - Bridget is a lovely, interesting and patient tutor, I enjoyed all the learning and doing, a fab lunch, and came away absolutely delighted and amazed with my lampshades which I've been showing off proudly to friends and family - thanks so much Bridget!

A lovely workshop, good for small groups/pairs. A really enjoyable process and Bridget is a really easy going tutor, making for a really relaxing day. The lamps turn out better than you think they will. Lovely lunch too.
Response from Bridget Arnold:Thanks Jo for the review, we were very lucky with the weather too, the first dry with a bit of sun shine day for ages !
I took my mother along as a Mother's Day present. It was a wonderful day and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Bridget's teaching encouraged us to be adventurous and we were pleasantly surprised by our efforts. The lunch of homemade soup, bread and cake was delicious.I'd definitely like to return.
Response from Bridget Arnold:Hi Fiona
We all had a wonderful spent learning the techniques of sun printing. Bridget initially gave us a demonstration and then we were given lots of freedom to create the kind of prints we individually preferred. Bridget was on hand with lots of guidance and inspiration progressing us from printing on paper to material. The weather was wet and windy which made working in natural sun light outside impossible but we used lamps indoors and it did not seem to hamper us all from creating some really lovely pieces to take away with us. We all agreed we would love to do more courses with Bridget and will be signing up for silk painting in the Spring. Two of us travelled from Wiltshire and it was well worth it. A tasty lunch was provided.
Thanks again Bridget.
A great day for a really good birthday present . Bridget is very warm and friendly. She gives you lots of supports and tips to get you started on your piece of work. A delicious home cooked lunch ( soup and cake). Her partner is a chef.
Response from Bridget Arnold:Thank you Kit for the lovely review !
I took this course on 23 June 2018 - a hot, sunny day so no need for artificial light! Bridget gave clear demonstrations using different qualities of paper, then fabric. After each, we had a go ourselves, varying exposure times to assess results. Then we were let loose to go our own way, with Bridget’s advice and assistance. An excellent introduction to a process that gives loads of scope for further experimentation!
Thank you Bridget.
I spent a very enjoyable day , learning a new skill, with expert tuition, lots of tea and nourishment, and produced a lovely banner of a Moon Gazing Hare. Thank you Bridget.
