"My husband and I are first time woodturners and had a great experience with Bill! He was kind enough to accommodate us for a custom date. Bill is such a nice man, very friendly, informative, and most importantly a very patient man. He taught us how to use the equipment and proper tool techniques to make peppermills that are a work of art that we are proud to use. He covered the safety, how to use the equipment, and all the tools we'd need and diligently helped us each step of the process, kindly correcting mistakes and showing the correct way. Excellent, thorough instruction! Bill's course was the highlight experience of our weekend getaway and we hope to meet him again. Highly recommended!"

"One to one course. Overall an excellent and informative course with Bill covering many aspects of wood turning- ranging from wood preparation, through to chisel types and sharpening. The usage of the chisels and types of cut on the lathe was particularly informative and Bills approach to the use of the gouges was informative and supportive. Bill demonstrated great patience and skill in assisting myself as a complete beginner and I would recommend the course to anyone who wanted to learn the basics of turning and the safe handing of wood chisels. Many thanks."

"I hadn't even seen a lathe up close let alone use one before .. until yesterday! As Bill said.. he has only been wood turning for 35 years and still learning. Nevertheless, I could not have hoped or imagined a more enjoyable introduction into this world. The wood, the grain, the tools, the bevel... Oh! And the sharpener. Really lovely bloke and his shed is a a wood turning Disneyland. Thanks "

"I had a great day with Bill, turning a pepper mill. From selecting the wood, deciding on the design, and actually doing the turning, it was a real learning curve, as I had never done this before. Bill knew exactly the level to teach, and the finished mill will be used."
