He explained everything really well and was very patient with me. I can now confidently go ahead and set up a lathe and practise all that he taught me. Starting with information about tools and lathe operation we then, after tea and biscuits, moved on to the creative part and ended up with a lovely wooden bowl. Andy, his wife Mary and their well-behaved dog Angus were a delight and I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in wood turning or just wanting to try something a little bit different."

"Had a very enjoyable day with Andy who spent the first hour explaining and demonstrating the use of many wood turning tools and machinery before allowing me some hands on experience in practicing some of the skills he had demonstrated. During the afternoon we made a bowl and this was a great experience to see how this was done and to have the opportunity to see Andy's skill's at their best. Again, I was able to participate at different stages and thrilled to have something to take home. A great day and thank you to Andy, Mary and Angus for being great hosts. Highly recommended to those who may be considering giving it a try."
