"I had such a wonderful, fun, productive day learning to make a quilt with Amanda last week. Amanda is a very calm and patient teacher, with a wealth of experience and advice to offer. The fabrics that she had curated were lovely and I am so pleased to have come away with a completed mini quilt and the skills and enthusiasm to embark on my own quilting projects. The course was everything I hoped for, and more. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of giving it a go!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the day spent with Amanda learning the skills of traditional quilt making. As it was one to one tuition from a very experienced quilter it was fabulous. I even managed to leave with my own quilt sampler. Couldn’t recommend the day enough."

"What a great day! Very patient teacher with a novice and full of tips and tricks. Everything planned perfectly so I went home with a great mini quilt, having tried the techniques needed to make a full size one. One to one teaching means you have someone making suggestions and sharing expertise all day and so learn quickly. Aftercare great too- follow up email with more tips and a newsletter and advice re suppliers. Feel I’ve taken a leap forward and have the confidence to get started on my own!"

"I really enjoyed my day with Amanda, her studio is in the beautiful surroundings of Ushaw college. All COVID precautions had been taken and rules observed at all times. This was my first time quilting but after Amanda’s excellent tuition I am confident in giving it a go myself. I was given lots of advice and tips to help with my future projects. The course was delivered in a comfortable atmosphere and led by my pace, as the course is one to one it could have been intense but it was amazing how quickly the day passed. I left with a completed quilt. I would totally recommend this course to anyone looking to begin quilting."
