"One of the best experiences of the cruise. Excellent teacher who helped everyone develop their skills whether a complete beginner or someone with some experience. Full of enthusiasm and encouragement as well as the ability to share her expertise and lots of helpful hits. Still a long way to go but renewed my interest in painting and watercolours in particular. "My husband bought me the stool workshop day as a Christmas gift. It was absolutely fantastic. The communication leading upto the day was brilliant, Emma was amazingly helpful and patient in both the weeks before and the day itself. It was such a lovely relaxed, friendly environment in a beautiful setting and not only did I come home with a stunning piece of furniture I had super good fun along the way. I cannot recommend highly enough I just wish I could go back every week. Thanks Emma and everyone involved. You're brilliant!!!"

"I attended the one day Storage Crate Workshop at Semper Hopkins and had a simply wonderful day. The setting in the old chapel is lovely and we had such a nice group of people too. Emma is a fabulous teacher, everything is explained so well and you don't feel rushed at all, all safety aspects are taken into consideration for working with tools. I had chosen to do the crate for our spare room and Emma was really helpful helping me select the right colours and materials. We had such fun being creative and all the while knowing we would be walking away with a piece of furniture we can keep, I even got to make my own buttons. Every time I walk past my crate I cant help but smile at what I achieved. I would highly recommend this wonderful relaxing and fun way to spend a day. Its given me a real insight into how much work goes into making proper furniture but also given me the confidence to give other projects a go. Cant wait to return and make a bench or a stool soon!"

It was a really good learning day that I would recommend to friends and family and great as a starter course for anyone wishing to take up upholstery as a career."
