Swallows & Artisans is a stunning newly renovated workshop space available for hire in the heart of the Lake District.
With a purpose built interior incorporating ample work space, soft seating, display area and simple kitchen facilities the venue also offers views over the lake and hills.
Take advantage of Lanehead, the adjoining 8 bedroom property (sleeping 35) and combine the two venues to host your own creative retreat!
Swallows & Artisans contains purpose built tables, a comfortable soft seating area for tea breaks along with breakfast bar style seating area which can also be used to display artwork. Full height glass doors and windows provide north facing natural light and views of the lake and the hills. We have "daylight" lighting for the darker days.
The workshop has its own simple kitchen facilities with sink, dishwasher, hob, oven and water boiler. If used in conjunction with the main house full use of a commercial kitchen can be provided.
Adjoining the property is Lanehead, the historic home of William G Collingwood an artist in his own right and secretary to John Ruskin. Lanehead is an 8 bedroom property (sleeping 35) which can be hired separately.
The bedrooms are all large and the majority have lake and mountain views. A fully equipped commercial kitchen along with the dining room (containing a secondary kitchen) provide ample space for catering.
There is free wifi and parking for approx 10 vehicles (if hired with Lanehead).
