The Arienas Collective support local artists, designers and makers to earn a living through delivering workshops where they can share their talents, skills and passions with others. We are always looking for new creatives to join our Collective to add to our creative workshop offer. The Collective provides admin and marketing support including selling via an online shop and promotion via website and social media platforms.
Our space is also available for booking as a private group. We offer birthday parties, hen parties, family group bookings, and so on. Most of our classes can be run as a private workshop, and if you have an idea for a workshop you don't see, we can usually find an artist or maker to run it for you. The classes can also be adapted to suit a birthday or wedding theme. So please get in touch with your idea and we'll do our best to make it happen for you!
We offer a fascinating range of creative courses in a supportive and welcoming venue in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town. We believe in the well-being benefits of engaging in creative activity, and our class sizes are kept small so that our artists and makers can provide hands-on help and support.
We offer fresh and locally sourced refreshments - an important part of The Arienas Collective experience. The current course program includes painting, sketching, calligraphy, jewellery making, macramé, bookbinding, screen-printing, Lino-printing, letter press printing, photography, soap-making, skincare, lingerie sewing and more. We are always looking to welcome new artists and makers to our Collective, and to add new courses to our offer.
We are perfectly placed for a day or weekend trip to Edinburgh. We're around 10 minutes walk from Waverley Station, St Andrews Square Bus Station and the tram, which runs directly to and from the airport. Popular St Andrew's Square and George Street are just 5 mins walk away.
Please note that The Arienas Collective experiences are run from a first-floor space and unfortunately we do not have lift access.
Get in touch if you'd like to join our Collective, or would like to discuss a private workshop booking.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
We provide admin and marketing support to all our artists and makers, as well as opportunities to get together. We source and serve the refreshments, and always ensure the artists and makers eat with the workshop participants.
On our private workshops we include refreshments. Typically this is morning or afternoon tea, or ground coffee, and cake and savoury nibbles served with a complimentary glass of fizz (non-alcoholic option available). We cater for a wide range of dietary requirements, but please note the venue is based in our home which is not nut free.

I love teaching jewellery workshops with the Arienas Collective. The venue is homely and welcoming and in such a great location, close to travel links. Lynn and John work hard to create a lovely atmosphere and provide excellent locally-sourced refreshments. On one day workshops, a delicious lunch is included for us all. There are a great range of creative workshops available and as well as teaching I've attended some myself! Highly recommended
