About the Course
Hello all creative friends, cat lovers and environmental enthusiasts. I would like to invite you to my Whimsical Cat Sculpture Workshop. This is one full day workshop where I will guide you on how to create your own unique whimsical and quirky cat.
You don’t need any experience in sculpturing. I will be demonstrating and guiding you step by step from the beginning to the end. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take your own original cat home with you + one extra additional artwork.
We are going to be creating these awesome cats but you will also gain lots of ideas of how to apply the same technique in many different art projects. There are no boundaries. Once you learn how to create these cats, you will be confident and able to use these new skills in your own work in your own way.
This is going to be a very environmentally friendly workshop. We are going to be using lots of recycled materials and Powertex. Powertex is an amazing non-toxic, water based and environmentally friendly medium that can be used for endless art projects.
What will you learn:
-Ideas on how to recycle glass/plastic bottles, cans, old fabric etc., and turn them into your own original artwork
-What is Powertex and how to use it to create a unique body of work
-Building an armature
-creating your own design
-fabric sculpting and layering
-different painting techniques to achieve a finished look
I am a professional mixed media artist, certified Powertex tutor and I love to share my skills and knowledge with other creative souls.
