For those of you who already have some experience of machine embroidery, you may like to come and dabble with a bit of paint and learn different ways to embellish your background. If you fancy learning how to think a bit more creatively, and want to learn a few new techniques, then this is the workshop for you. You may choose to add some hand embroidery too.
You will learn how to create a distressed, shabby chic background, and will design your flowers or seed heads as you go. Julie will provide ample examples of her work with plenty of ideas to mull over. There will be flower and Seed head images galore to choose from, or feel free to bring your own to work from.
At the end of the day you will take home a completed panel ready to frame or hang, for everyone to admire.
The machine embroidery courses are held at her garden studio in Birlingham, near Pershore in Worcester (WR10 3AF) from 10-4pm. There is parking and refreshments available throughout the session. The nearest train station is Pershore and is a short taxi ride away. Accommodation can also be found there, a list can be sent upon request.

I really enjoyed this workshop. Julie is a great teacher and explained everything well. We all produced wonderful lampshades. A lovely workshop room and all the materials provided- lots of choice. I will certainly recommend this to my friends.
A very "complete" day, not competitive, just creative and most enjoyable. To leave with a useful piece of "artwork"is so satisfying. Julie is a most enthusiastic and supportive tutor and the atmosphere was thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended.
