Description
Join us for a fun and relaxing half day painting a ceramic pizza platter using a combination of glaze techniques. Saz's Ceramics & Crafts is an established pottery painting and ceramics studio set in the heart of the Black Country within the site of the historic Red House Glass Cone. With a maximum of 6 people per class, Saz will guide you as to how to band a platter, then sgraffito (carve) a design onto it and use a fine writer to zentangle (posh doodle) the rest! If it sounds challenging, don't worry; it's easier than it looks and the results are so rewarding! Once you've finished, feel free to wander around the site, which is free to enter, and visit the many other craft studios based at the Cone.
What's included in the price?
All use of pottery tools, brushes, platters, glazes and firing costs are included in the price. Your platter will be ready for collection in a couple of weeks' time. Hot drinks will be provided during the workshop. There's a free carpark next to the Cone site and our museum and visitors' centre on site are well worth a visit if you come before your workshop is due to start.
