Momigami & Junk Journalling Workshop - Paper Craft - Blended Monkey Studios

Join Zakiya, our guest tutor from Fanoggins, for a MOMIGAMI & JUNK JOURNALLING workshop where you'll learn the art of momigami, a Japanese technique that turns paper into fabric. You'll then use your newly created fabrics to cover your own spiral-bound journal. You can then decorate your journal using - stamping - envelope & pocket making, and - collaging The whole procedure will be explained from start to finish by Zakiya, a bookbinder and junk journal artist. At the end of the session, you'll take your newly decorated junk journal home where you can continue to add to it if you wish. Suitable for beginners & children 14+ accompanied by an adult. We’ll supply everything you need for this experience, but you’re welcome to bring your own photographs, magazines, old books, papers, and ephemera to use in your journal. Message the tutorBlended Monkey is a husband and wife team. Our studios are based in a small village on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Our setting provides ample inspiration for our work, and is perfect for our woodturning & pottery courses. Louise (ceramicist) - I studied at the Falmouth School of Art & Design and I am interested in various art forms, design and applied arts. Simon (woodturner) - I love working with wood & exploring its versatility. I'm a member of the AWGB and APTGW.
