The Gentleman's Wardrobe - Creating your own bespoke menswear wardrobe.

Using the patterns from Vanessa Mooncie's The Gentleman's Wardrobe, this ongoing course will teach you how to adapt a menswear pattern to your own measurements and then the techniques to construct and finish your own beautifully tailored garment.

The course begins with the Waistcoat and Trousers. moving on to the Shirt and Jacket and finishing, just in time for Christmas, with pyjamas and a dressing gown. There is also a one day men's accessory workshop, where you can make a choice of neckwear.

The Gentleman's Wardrobe Part 6 - Pyjamas and Dressing Gown

The dressing gown features a shawl collar, two large patch pockets, a tie belt and shaped, turn back cuffs. The pyjamas feature a four button fastening, an elasticated waist and a patch pocket to the chest.

These garments are wonderful for lounging around in and would also make perfect Christmas gifts for your loved ones.

The workshop runs one day a week for three weeks on a Thursday 10.00am - 4.00pm beginning on November 11th and finishing on November 25th

Your tutor for this workshop is Peter Foster who has been a lecturer in textiles, fashion and costume design for over 20 years.

Please note :-
All workshops are held on the second floor with access via the stairs
All participants must wear a mask
Workshop leader will wear a mask or visor
Hand sanitiser will be provided throughout
Tea, coffee and refreshments are provided

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

A copy of the book and all patterns, are included in the cost, along with calico and all pattern making materials. All you will need to bring is a notebook and an A4 file and envelopes to create your own pattern cutting file.which you can use in the future.

If you would like to make the garments in your own choice of fabric, advice will be given during the workshops on the best fabrics and quantities needed to complete the garment.

Tea, coffee and refreshments are also provided, all you need to bring is your lunch.
