Make Your Own Engagement Ring/s
Description
Make your own or each other’s engagement rings with experienced ethical goldsmith Anna Mcloughlin at her off-grid Eco Studio in the beautiful Forest of Dean. What could be more romantic than knowing that the ring/s you wear to signify your love for one another have been crafted by your very own hands! Anna has specialised in making bespoke wedding and engagement rings for many years, and will guide you through every step to create your own beautiful rings in recycled silver or gold, platinum or palladium. You can even upcycle your own metal if you have any sentimental old jewellery that you’d like to give a new lease of life! You don’t need any jewellery making experience, and will be able to do as much or as little of the making as you feel comfortable with. However much you do, you’ll be able to look at your rings every day (hopefully forever!) and feel super proud that you’ve had a hand in making them! After the workshop, your rings will be sent for hallmarking, before being returned to you in a beautiful (and re-usable!) presentation box. If you’d like to add a gemstone, Anna can provide either lab grown or recycled diamonds, or a variety of other fully traceable gemstones. In this workshop, you’ll do “most” of the making, and Anna will set the stone/s after your ring/s have been hallmarked. You can choose to make your rings in Recycled gold or silver, platinum, or even recycle your old jewellery! Metal costs are charged on top as this will always vary depending on size, shape and metal/s chosen, but as a rough guide, here’s the “approximate” metal costs for a pair of 5mm wide wedding bands: Recycled Silver - £45 9ct Recycled or fairtrade gold - £500 18ct Recycled or Fairtrade gold - £1300 Palladium - £1200 Platinum - £1200 Melting down and refining of your jewellery - from £65 Gemstones can start from just a few pounds up to many thousands, so please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss stone options prior to booking.
