Jesmonite Terrazzo Coasters Workshop at the Craft Barn
Description
Create your own coasters and trinket tray with artist and maker Kim Searle using a variety of moulds. Jesmonite is a versatile material that will create a different outcome every time - you'll learn how to weigh it, mix it, add colours and textural effects to create something unique to you. They can be made with pale pastels or vibrant colours, block colours or fantastic marbled effects. You will be able to take your creations away with you that day! The workshop will take place at The Craft Barn, a beautiful and airy space in Hadfield! Venue details: The room is up a flight of stairs so is sadly not wheelchair accessible however if this is an issue let me know in advance and I'll see if we can move downstairs. Course conditions: The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 2 days before the event however after that no refund can be given. Please don't arrive more than 10 minutes before the workshop is due to start.

Maker
Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle (BA Hons Textile Crafts). Sessions are based on encouraging sustainability - mostly working across West Yorkshire, South Devon, Dorset and Hampshire and the surrounding areas, but willing to travel. Workshops are run with a relaxed, informal and inclusive atmosphere, letting people go at their own pace. Materials, guidance and technical assistance are provided but everyone is encouraged to push their own creativity, and most of all have a good time!
