This two-hour 100% online workshop delivered on Zoom will help you establish the fundamentals of writing horror fiction.
It’s aimed at anyone interested in creative writing for the horror genre, whether you have done any previous writing before or are a complete beginner.
You will examine the key tropes of horror fiction, from zombies and vampires to the ‘final girl’ and look at the importance of creating your own unique selling point to your writing.
During the course you will:
- understand how to develop your writing through atmosphere and emotion
- take part in a dynamic group discussion on effective horror writing
- complete writing tasks from prompts
- gain feedback on your writing style.
What will I gain?
By the end of the session you will have built confidence in your writing skills and have some new ideas to further pursue your horror writing.
Level: Beginner / Intermediate
Entry requirement: No previous experience is necessary.
