Vanderhume comes from her ancestry of Flemish Weavers. Alice pushes the boundaries of weaving and uses unusual materials of copper yarn and raffia on her 8-shaft Harris Loom. After Graduating Alice and her father collaborated to make handmade frame looms called Hume Looms from recycled wood which she uses to teach weave workshops.
