Description
Join us for a relaxing afternoon of creativity learning all about the wonderful textile art of silk painting. During the workshop, experienced local tutor and artist Sophie Saxon will teach you about the processes involved in transferring designs onto silk using a gutta outline and then various different techniques for mixing and applying paints onto silk fabric. You’ll then have plenty of time to experiment, creating yourself a sun catcher using either your own design or choosing from designs supplied by Sophie. “I’m no artist but I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed painting on silk.
