About the Course

You will learn the traditional art of hedge laying by tackling a hedge with the aim of completing a small section from start to finish.

The course will cover the fundamentals of hedge laying and all the necessary skills and techniques that are required for successful hedge laying.

We will lay the hedge in the Midlands style, as this is the most generic style and most widespread, but an overview of the different styles of hedge laying and the driving factors in their development will be discussed.

This course is designed for absolute beginners wanting to learn, through to the more experienced hedge layer wanting to practice and improve, and maybe learn a some more advanced techniques.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Want to review this course?

Apart from learning in a very hands-on way, it was a most enjoyable and fun course. Instruction was clear and attentive and the skills will, hopefully, be retained for ever. Next time, could you organise the weather to be slightly warmer, please.
