About the Course

My workshops make the most of our beautiful studio, house and garden at Hampton Court - featured in Modern Rustic, Homes & Gardens, House Beautiful and the Evening Standard. Liberty design team have held their "day out" team days here for the past two years.

Always brimming with ideas and many examples to show, you will receive lots of one to one help and demonstrations ensuring success and a sense of achievement. Armi Maddison is a knowledgable and experienced art educator with over 25 years teaching experience in the post 16 sector, including A Level, BTEC, Access, foundation and degree teaching. Her approach is to facilitate explorative and experimental learning. You will gain a lot from her extensive knowledge and get excited by what can be achieved. Armi creates a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment, whilst encouraging participants to achieve their full potential. A fun and exciting process suitable for any level; explore making your own mixed media paper samples to use in your own projects, or as beautiful pieces of art in their own right.

You will be guided through the process to utilise and recycle waste papers, layering small objects, colours and fibres into the paper. You’ll take home knowledge and the motivation to continue on your own, plus some lovely work!

We can tailor workshops to include lunch, cakes, tea/coffee or apéro drinks.

Just now it is preferable to have family, friendship or colleague groups to the workshops. Book a group on your chosen date and time - min 4 people, 6th person FREE!
