About the Course

On this course you'll be introduced to floral design for fashion, textiles, interiors and decorative arts applications.

The course uniquely brings together trend awareness and floral design to build an exciting digital portfolio with accompanying sketches and paintings.

Whether you're already working in the design industry, hoping to pursue further academic studies or wishing to develop personal projects, this course will help you improve your drawing, design and computer skills.

During the course you will:

- undertake drawing and painting exercises
- make floral collages
- scan your work
- find online images to adapt
- create artwork using different colour palettes
- research trends and create inspiration moodboards.

The course will involve a visual demonstration introducing how floral prints work in the design industry, followed by drawing and painting workshops and some Photoshop technical work.

The course will be taught on PCs (but you are welcome to bring your own PC or Mac with Photoshop and a mouse if you prefer).
