About the Course
A Pre Wedding Workshop at The Slipper Studio on the edge of the Peak District, provides a great opportunity for you to spend quality time with family and friends, creating beautiful outcomes and memories in a lovely, relaxing environment; creative activities provide a great icebreaker for people who may have met each other for the first time.
Liz will host your workshop at her home studio. The venue is beautifully presented, with handcrafted workbenches and a wood burner, with views down into the village.
Your workshop may take a number of forms:
. simply choose a workshop from Liz’s wide range of activities, eg wire animals, lino cutting or drawing.
. create name tags/place settings by cutting stamps and using alphabet stamps, to be used at your reception.
. create a range of paper hanging or freestanding sculptural decorations, using vintage papers, with themes such as Charm Bracelets, Butterflies, Alice’s Tea Party, Fabulous Fruits, that can be used to decorate your wedding venue.
If you live close to The Slipper Studio, you may wish to visit Liz to discuss your ideas and themes.

I couldn't recommend a workshop with Liz enough! Ahead of the workshop, I had a consultation with Liz to discuss what I wanted to do. Liz showed me various options of what might work and what wouldn't but there was no pressure. We arrived to what felt like a personalised setup, various details had been put in place to make it feel a bit more special. We were instantly offered a good selection of drinks so we could settle quickly. We were constantly doing things, however we never felt too busy to talk. Liz got involved in conversation and felt like part of the group instantly. Lunch was a yummy selection of sandwiches, crisps and a few extras (the mini pork pies were my favourite). The day never felt like it was dragging, everyone I was with left saying how they had had a great time. If you want a proactive yet relaxing step back from the norm, this would be perfect for you.

Response from Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker:Thank you for your lovely comments and really pleased that you enjoyed your day.
I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. Liz was very welcoming and the venue is very warm and cosy. We picked up a lot of different ideas which we will be using for my sisters wedding.
Liz was a very good host, offering plenty of refreshments and a nice lunch, also getting involved with the party.
I would definitely recommend this workshop to others, really fun day and something I wouldnt normally do.
