Creative Cabinets of Curiosity - Mixed-Media & Mosaic Assemblage

X

Description

Join Lisa-marie from Creative Avenue York, in this curious workshop where you will create a totally unique Assemblage Artwork. There will be wooden frames, etc, available to adapt, as well as vintage wooden boxes and preloved items. With simple skills and a little guidance, you will reconfigure the wooden parts into a type-tray style 'Cabinet', which can then be painted to suit your theme. As a Mosaic Artist, Lisa-Marie will provide a wide variety of beautifully coloured and textured tiles, as well as a hoard of found objects, shells, china, oddments and nik-naks to utilise. You are also encouraged to bring your own decorative 'Bits' and sentimental 'Bobs' to include. Spend the day curating a deliciously unique 'Cabinet of Curiosities', embrace the weird and wonderful and tell a story in mixed-media. Lisa-Marie's home studio is stuffed full of inspiration and has a vast array of materials on hand. There are 4 places available, for maximum space and 1-1 creative tuition and exploration. Lisa-Marie is an exhibiting mosaic artist and an Art Teacher with 25 years experience.
