About the Course

Find out how to render all creatures great and small in charcoal on this two day course in our studio set in the beautiful countryside of Oxfordshire.

This course is appropriate for all levels of artists, from hobbyist to professionals.

Workshop Outline:

Obtaining the correct image to work from, with discussion as to sourcing images, copyright and making them "charcoal friendly"
Composition
Seeing light and dark and all the shades in between
Layering techniques
Qualities and characteristics of paper and types of charcoal
Transferring images onto card
