About the Course
Join us for a one-day tapestry weaving starter workshop.
Led by an experienced weaver from the weaversbazaar team, either Lin Squires or Dianne Miles, this event will introduce you to the basic techniques of tapestry weaving by weaving your own sampler.
All materials are provided and you will be working on a ready warped tapestry frame and access to the full range of 150 weaversbazaar yarns to weave with.
At the end of the day you will leave with a sampler of the techniques and enough knowledge to start your own projects if you would like to go further. In additional time the tutor will introduce an approach to design for tapestry and provide information on how to progress an interest in tapestry weaving.
Please register your interest if current dates are not suitable as additional dates can be added

Matty’s workshop was very informative and ideally suited for a beginner. She gave clear instructions and kept a good pace for all abilities, giving extra support when needed or helping others to progress to the next stage. The course was well structured and highly organised, written handouts supplied to reinforce teaching. Further developments were also discussed using students own visual material. I would be keen to sign up to future workshops, or would be interested in a mini programmed progressive course to develop skills, over several weeks or monthly workshops.
