Recipe for winter hibernating – take 2kg of giant wool, a glass of mulled wine and mince pies, then mix with good company. Two happy hours later, go home with a warm feeling that you’ve achieved something huge! Welcome to the trending craze of arm knitting! Learn how to knit a throw from super-sized yarn using your arms instead of needles to make something woolly and massive in just one session! Even non-knitters can make a person-sized throw in just a couple of hours. Included is a 2kg ball of giant washable, vegan-friendly acrylic yarn. Choose a colour: please indicate your choice of yarn when booking. Options include soft pink, light teal, silver grey, dove grey, mid grey, mustard, denim, peacock green, mint or cream*. Founded in 1906, we are a family firm with shops in York and Harrogate. We specialise in haberdashery and needlecrafting materials and workshops, with an international reputation for stocking over 10,000+ different button designs. Our classes are held in a beautiful beamed room at the top of our medieval building in York and in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley in a converted Victorian double-fronted shop. They are taught by practicing designers and makers with considerable expertise in (and passion for) their respective crafts, and considerable teaching experience.
