About the Course
A fun half-day introduction to digital art, perfect for beginners and also suitable for the more advanced. Rebecca (B.A. Hons. of Fine Art 1994) is a commercial artist, specialising in drawings of animals, cityscapes - with the occasional human thrown in! Rebecca sells her original artwork and prints at home and abroad.
It may be you have just bought a drawing tablet and don’t know what to do with it, or you’ve always liked the idea of breaking into digital art but don’t have the confidence. This course is designed to help you make friends with your software (whether it be Sketchbook, Photoshop or any other) and your tablet (or both!), and reassure you that you can’t really go wrong with digital art expression! And to enjoy it!
You will a look at different effects, and styles - colour, black and white, different subjects, how to pull your traditional drawing technique (if you draw anyway) into digital art form, and develop it and break into something new - or enhance your existing style.
The course will have structured drawing sessions, introduced by way of an initial tutorial and finishing with a question and answer session, allowing participants to focus on their own artistic goals, whilst enabling the sharing of ideas with other attendees - always an enjoyable and vital part of the art creating process!
