Abstract Painting Holiday Play with Clare Basel at Cambridge Makers

This workshop will allow you a chance to immerse yourself in the “painting processes” and discover what inspires you and how to bring this to your painting. With three full days allow yourself to discover the joy of painting and thinking intuitively, alongside learning how to work with Acrylics and mixed media. You will learn about how to mix colours that resonate with you and discover a variety of ways of adding texture and depth to your painting. By exploring the principles used by abstract artists you will have a better understanding of how you can explore your own ideas in a way that brings you joy. We will be developing your use of line, colour, value, and form to understand how composition can be developed whilst working intuitively. By understanding how to use different materials and technqiues you can make them work for you. Experiment and test out your ideas with a range of materials and learn from fellow participants as well as Cläre.
