Tracey reviewed: Simple frame basket at Higher Barn

"A great day. Pleased to say the day took place in the lovely warm office as it was a wet breezy day. The office is basket heaven with all sorts overhead. Richard was very patient and his instruction was great, never rushed and we enjoyed the story. Very happy with end result. Must also mention the lovely lemon drizzle cake made by Sue - delicious. Thank you for a fab experience. "

Windrush Willow responded:

" Hi Tracey, Many thanks for the favourable review, I will pass your praise of the cake on to Sue. Best Regards Richard"

Sharon Dibsdall reviewed: Willow Border Edging Hurdles for beginners at Higher Barn

"This was a full day course, which I thoroughly enjoyed, as a complete novice. Richard was an enthusiastic tutor, happy to answer all questions and share his knowledge. He had infinite patience and made sure that you had whatever support you required to progress throughout the day. Everything was provided and the venue is delightful. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to dip a first tentative toe into the world of willow and it was very rewarding to go home with the fruits of your labour."

Lynne Vowles reviewed: Simple frame basket at Higher Barn

"I have just attended the plant support course. What a fabulous day. Richard was brilliant at explaining everything and showing us what to do. We started working in the barn as it was more sheltered but eventually moved outside into the sunshine. We ate our packed lunches sitting under the shade of some willow trees and were later treated to a great lemon drizzle made by his wife Sue. It was wonderful to be able to come home with two amazing and different plant supports. Richard was always on hand to help out when I needed reminding how to do the weaving or if a stronger pair of hands were needed. I had slightly achy hands by the end of the day but a small price to pay for such a fabulous experience. The plant supports are currently in the garage just waiting to be treated before putting outside. Can't wait to see my sweet peas growing up the tall one. Thanks for a great day Richard."

Amanda reviewed: Willow Plant Supports

"I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Higher Barn. Richard and Suzanne were a very easy going and friendly couple. Richard was a very clear, helpful and patient teacher, who ensured we got the best out of the day. We all came away with some great plant supports, aswell as a great sense of achievement. Its a great way to learn a new skill, being in the outdoors, doing something practical and quite therapeutic and also coming away with something that is a lovely and very useful addition to your garden."
