Goodness me! What an amazing course and what an amazing lady. Nicki, it was lovely meeting you. I was a complete novice and not at all confident in my abilities. Nicki made me feel at ease and got my creativity out of me. With her brilliant instruction, I created something quite remarkable in beautiful woodland surroundings. What more could I ask for? Brilliant day had by all with such fantastic company.
I would thoroughly recommend this course. I will be back! Many thanks.
Nicki's course was excellent because she loves to craft baskets and strikes an excellent rapport with her novice weavers. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient, particularly with me when I kept going wrong with the thin-to-thin weaving! The workshop is situated in a woodland and it was so peaceful and quiet that I came away really relaxed and happy and unphased by the prospects of getting stuck in traffic on the M25 and M4.
As for my basket, I love it! I am so pleased and grateful I have have made something so beautiful and useful and it has definitely whetted my appetite to learn more weaving skills. Thank you Nicki!
I really enjoyed this course, and was amazed by what we were able to achieve in one day. I went home with two beautiful baskets (or one basket and one platter). Nicki was a great teacher, and her husband Brian too. I never felt lost and there was always support on hand if I got stuck. Nice relaxed atmosphere, and amazing cake!!
I so enjoyed this Zarzo basket making course last Saturday and I came away with two wonderful baskets. I would not have believed that I could manage to make two in one day but I did - it was well organised and thought through, and everything was prepared for us. We worked in pairs which was great because it meant that between the two of us we were sure to understand or remember the process, and what one of us could not remember the other could. It made for a friendly session too. Nicki and her assistant-husband were so expert at their craft and were always on hand to help. The village hall was easy to find and there was plenty of parking too. One of the best bits: I have an absolutely lovely Zarzo basket .... and I was a complete beginner. Thank you, both of you!
