"This was one of those rare experiences that completely shifts how you look at the landscape around you.
The course struck a great balance between practical fieldwork and discussion — from assessing stand structure and tree health to understanding the long-term planning required to build resilience in our woodlands. The emphasis on adapting management to changing climate conditions and rising deer pressure really brought home how proactive we need to be in caring for these ecosystems.
For anyone involved in woodland ownership, nature recovery, or land management — this is a course that grounds you in the reality of what good woodland stewardship looks like. I came away with muddy boots, a full notebook, and a completely renewed appreciation for how much skill and foresight goes into managing a healthy, functioning woodland."
