Learn how to split long, thin rods in half, then use them to weave a strong traditional wattle panel to take home. Hazel will be available to buy at the end of the session so that you can carry on making your hurdles at home.
Come along and play with some green wood - this course is aimed at the novice outdoors-man or outdoors-woman, and will cover axe and knife safety, tool selection and instruction in spoon whittling! You will take home a finished spoon. Please indicate at the time of booking whether you are right- or left- handed
A day to make functional, beautiful garden structures. Obelisks, sweet pea frames, mini-hurdles, ‘Sunflower’ plant supports... learn some strong, reliable weaves to shape your structures.
Wear sturdy shoes or boots at all times. Please also wear warm, comfortable clothes that are suitable for the current weather conditions. You will be outside for most of the course.
All tools and materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring along any interesting tools!
