I had never attempted to upcycle a piece of furniture before, so I was apprehensive beforehand, but it is so relaxed and you are taken through each step and you can ask for help when you need it. "Really enjoyed the upcycle day with Hannah. She provided a warm welcome, explained the day and was on hand to help with ideas and suggestions. She was very patient. I would recommend taking a flat uncomplicated piece that is easy to sand. The sanding bit can be be a task in itself. It’s a great day. We got to see some pieces Hannah had worked on which are inspiring. "

Hannah created a relaxed atmosphere with only a small group of 6, allowing Hannah to provide everyone with guidance, hints & tips in up-cycling our furniture pieces. "I really enjoyed this course, there were 6 of us which meant that Hannah had time to help us all when we needed it. All materials were supplied and there were examples for inspiration. The day flew by too quickly as I was enjoying it so much and I was pleased with what I had created, and I left armed with the knowledge of how to do some more pieces at home. I'd definitely recommend this course."

"What a fabulous day! Doing anything remotely arty like this is totally out of my comfort zone but weeks off my 60th birthday I decided to “dare” myself - and am so glad I did. Hannah is a superb teacher, gently encouraging, guiding, very clearly explaining everything and giving huge confidence boosts. I can’t believe someone who was a real classroom dunce at art could turn a manky old bedside table into something half decent- and it’s all down to inspirational Hannah. I felt so chuffed with myself - and am going to try to do my other equally grim bedside table next! Thanks for such a fun day - and giving an old lady a new string to her bow! "

"I had been eyeing up Hannah’s furniture painting/up cycling course for a while and I’m so glad that signed up. I had a really fab day. No corners were cut in the design and she made helpful suggestions when needed. I’m already buying myself a kit to do more at home!! 100% recommend."

"This is the 2nd course I’ve done with Hannah and once again I enjoyed it very much. I did the furniture upcycling course a few months ago. I wanted to focus more on how to do the tape masking and painting more accurately, so I don’t get bleed and lumps and I learned how to achieve a more flawless finish, even if I can’t do it as well as Hannah at this stage. I feel inspired now to do more painting and to be more creative generally. Thanks for a great course."

"19th November what a fabulous day I had. Hannah is a great teacher and has plenty of good advice and tips on how to recycle your old furniture to look good (even my little chair) and is very patient. I have never painted or waxed furniture before (except paint walls) thoroughly enjoyed myself. The day day went so quick, chatting to other people what a lovely group that I was with. Learnt a lot about paint even sand paper, techniques how to paint successfully and no dragging of paint brush marks and the using of frog tape (great!!) I recommend everyone to have a go, when I retire next year I will give it another go. Loved next door Simion, amazing chap that does the upholstering "

"I had a great day, with Hannah, learning to upcycle a small table. From the very beginning Hannah was very welcoming and ensured that everyone in our small group was comfortable. We learned how to prepare our piece of furniture for upcycling, then how to apply paint or wax and how to produce a range of designs and finishes. All the materials we needed were provided and we also got advice on the best materials and equipment to buy for any projects we intended to complete at home. I would certainly recommend this course and Hannah as a tutor."
