Sarah Irvine reviewed: Spoon carving and Whittling Day

" We had a brilliant day on the spoon carving course. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel really welcome and at ease. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and nothing ever felt rushed or intimidating. The course was packed with information but explained in a really clear, approachable way, so it suited complete beginners. Colin and Sarah were patient, encouraging, and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We both came away having learned a lot, feeling proud of what we’d made, and having had a really great day overall. I’d highly recommend this course to anyone interested in spoon carving. Such a lovely experience from start to finish. "

"Hello Sarah Thank you for your kind words, we are really glad you enjoyed your day with us, both you and Harry were great students. Although the weather outside was dull and grey, you both made up that with your patience and personality’s. We are super happy you are proud of what you achieved, you are now the owners of unique handcrafted spoons, and we hope you enjoy using them. Thank you for sharing a day with us, you are a great team. We wish Harry every success in his cooking career, and would love to hear updates…….and recipes. Take care, very best wishes from the folks down the Wiggly Path Colin and Sarah "

Jenny reviewed: Spoon carving and Whittling Day

"I had a very enjoyable day with Colin and Sarah at the Spoon Carving and whittling course on 29th September ,  I was a complete beginner and they explained how to use the tools, different cuts and when to use them.  They explaind the techniques clearly and made sure I used the tools safely . We also covered different types of tools and how to sharpen them and how to finish the spoons with sanding and oiling.  They were happy to answer any questions and give advice on design, tools and techniques.  I feel much more confident to try whittling on my own and am happy with the spoon I produced. The workshop was in a beautiful location and it was an interesting and relaxing experience with some lovely people.  I would recommend this course to anyone."

The Wiggly Path Company responded:
