"Thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. Gives a really good insight into Annie's favourite techniques as well as tips and insight into the types of paint - specifically the famous multi-purpose chalk paint and how to apply wax properly. Anyone who enjoys DIY will enjoy an afternoon here and will definitely leave inspired and confident to experiment and restore old pieces of furniture on their own, or give one of their beloved pieces at home a colour makeover."

"What a lovely, social, tasty, educational and interesting course ! I think I had an outdated view on painted furniture, and thought I knew how to do it, but after this course I felt so inspired that I made a pinterest board on it, and had dreams of setting up a painted furniture business. Didn't realise Annie Sloan paint was so applicable to so many different surfaces, that got the creative juices flowing - a sofa maybe ! The group was a perfect size and feel, small enough to feel you can ask questions and go over something again. And Lucy was mega friendly, helpful and insightful. So lovely. Would recommend the course for sure. x"

"Good tutor and plenty of help. A good range of techniques covered. Would have liked more help/ practice at basic plain painting. Only snag was- We only had one pot and brush for the group when doing most of the techniques which meant there was a lot of time waiting to take a turn."

"Wanted to do this course as had heard great things about the paint and wanted to do a sideboard. The course was really good fun and lucy was lovely. A morning away from the kids having a giggle and coffee and cake was enough but learnt how to use the paint and wax properly and get the professional look I was after. I painted a bedside cabinet ages ago and was disappointed with the result but now realise was doing it wrong. They give you a discount off the paint at the dulwich trader, Tomlinsons or ed and the shops are lovely. Done my sideboard now and it looks fab :) Definitely recommend!"

"Very interesting course. Lucy explained everything very clearly and I'm looking forward to putting into practice the techniques I learned. All the equipment and paints were readily available . Lucy did apologise for the lack of space in the room, with 8 people and larger tables than there had been previously, apparently. However, when a ninth person arrived, she made her very welcome and accommodated her with the minimum of fuss. The room was really too small for people to move around easily. Coffee provided was ok, but the Volcano coffee shop coffee and food was very over-priced in my opinion. Lovely environment for a meeting or course, such as this one. Thoroughly enjoyed it!"

She was very knowledgeable about the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint products and had a wealth of hints and tips on painting and restoring furniture. She was very patient, more happy to let us try a technique again and always willing to answer questions. The workshop has given me the confidence to begin my furniture restoration project. The coffee and cakes were delicious!"
