About The Clay Studio

Eunice started teaching pottery classes at Emerson College in Forest Row in 2000. Then, for many years she ran “The Grapevine Studio”, making and teaching ceramics to both adults and children. In 2007 she moved to Portugal to open a Retreat Centre and from there she established a studio making her own porcelain product range, as well as running many pottery holidays. On her return to Sussex, Eunice founded the “The Clay Studio”. As well as managing the studio, she still loves hands-on teaching.

Children's Pottery Experiences - Two timings to choose from 9:00am – 12 noon OR 1:00pm – 4pm These two workshops are for children (8+) with a maximum of 10 attendees on each. During each workshop the children will each make an item that the teacher decides on, such as an animal, plate or mug. These workshops cost £40 per child. All levels from beginner to experienced are very welcome at the studio. We teach various aspects of ceramics from hand building, sculpture, throwing on the wheel, and a range of decorating and glazing techniques. This is to ensure that everybody is able to experience all methods and will be rewarded by taking some beautifully hand-built and designed pieces away with them at the end of the course. There are always two teachers present per class...
