"We had an absolutely brilliant day attending the relief woodcarving course with Ruth. She was friendly and informative and really helped us get the best out of our chosen designs. We also loved the setting; what lovely surroundings to learn in (we were blessed with an unseasonably warm October day which was lucky!) It was really nice to share the day with two other small groups doing pyrography and soapstone carving - we all very much enjoyed checking out how each other was getting on and it made me want to go back and do soapstone carving myself!!!"

"A great experience that improved my skills and introduced me to new techniques. A very relaxed and sociable atmosphere in a wonderful setting that all helped the learning process. "A lovely day learning with Ruth! It was really good to be able to use my own pyrography machine and get some great advice. Ruth even made me a new tip to use. Small pieces of wood are provided for you to practice on at the beginning and then you are able to choose from larger pieces of wood to create a bigger bit of artwork. (To be honest, I think Ruth should charge a little extra for some of the largest ones!) It was a superb setting and really lovely to work outside too. Certainly an inspirational day. ?"
