"Spent a wonderful day yesterday with Ian learning some new skills and went home with a lovely piece of furniture that makes me smile every time I look at it. Ian has a lovely way of teaching that focusses more on you just trying to do what feels right for you and the piece of wood you are working with rather then trying to achieve some sort of perfection. As a result its a much more rewarding experience all round and the handcrafted stool I ended up with far exceeded my expectations of what I'd be able to achieve. I can't recommend this course highly enough, if your even vaguely interested give it a go!"

"I spent a wonderful day with Ian, learning about some of the history of woodworking crafts and being shown some of the old-style tools used. I then practiced skills that would be used later in the day by making an ash mallet, before moving on to the main theme of making a beautiful greenwood stool from elm and ash. My woodworking skills are very limited, but despite this I was able to produce a piece of furniture that I am proud of with Ian’s expert guidance. Thoroughly recommended."
