Maker's bio

As a freelance artist for over 20 years, I still work within the learning departments of many London based Museums and Galleries, schools, and charities, from the V&A to the Museum of London, AgeUK to Thomas Pocklington Trust supporting blind and partially sighted students. I develop, design and create various art based classes, workshops and courses. In the last 7 years I have also been running my own private Watercolour Courses - these run one day a week at Wanstead House E11...and since all the lockdowns I have also managed to squeeze in a wonderful Tuesday morning online class too! Instagram/Twitter: brendacoylearty Relaxation through Art is a personal practise that I have been developing and teaching for over 10 years, with an aim to exploring different ways to manage stress with a variety of simple yet stimulating art exercises which you can learn and practise in your everyday life. Open to all levels and abilities. Contact me for further information and any collaboration work. I am always happy to chat.

"I enjoyed the painting and learning about watercolours. My tutor, Brenda delivered the art class at a comfortable pace and was very encouraging too."

Sylvia Mitchell reviewed: Watercolour Art Course AFTEROON CLASSES - based at Wanstead House E11 (4 WEEK COURSE)

"I have really enjoyed the watercolour course, Brenda is fantastic inspirational teacher. Brenda encourages you to explore your own style whilst coming round to each person to give advise and examples. I was happy with the work I managed to produce and I went home and carried on experimenting."
