Kathryn reviewed: Beginner woodwork - 1 to 1

"Great from start to finish. As a total beginner, Phillip took time to understand what I wanted to achieve and the sessions were well planned so that I used a range of tools and techniques. Phillip kept it fun, informative and well paced. Very happy with my project and the experience."

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"Hi. As this was a custom project to frame your earlier stained glass project, we were both taking a leap of faith in the design and practicality for a self described 'beginner'. But well done, it looks great."

"Such a great course! Having never done woodwork before, Philip was very patient and made it seem easy. I made the bird box and was so happy with the final product. Would definitely do another course! Thank you!"

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"Hey Sarah, I'm thrilled you enjoyed making the double decker birdbox. Do let me know if you'd like any of the 'making in process' photos. Cheers"

"Philip kindly prepared materials and technical drawing for our project and guided us step by step to complete kitchen roll holders. It was informative and fun and Philp was extremely nice and patient. Highly recommend this course for anyone who is interested in craft. Thank you Philip!! We may book another one in the future."

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"My first couple on a craft session. You two were great fun. The competitiveness!! Lol. Glad you like the design I came up with and had fun. See you next time."

Ben reviewed: Beginner woodwork - 1 to 1

"Had a great session with Phillip, he was patient and helpful and got the the balance right between instructing, demonstrating and just letting me get on with it! (Once I was confident on the equipment). The tools are really easy to use and good quality and I was really happy with the book ends I made. Thanks again!"

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"Thanks Ben. I'm glad you had fun making personalised bookends. I just hope your cat doesn't take exception to the design and fling them off the shelf. ?"

"That's wonderful, thank you. You are the first guest to make my new Cracket Stool project. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Best of luck with your furniture making adventures."

Jenny reviewed: Beginner woodwork - 1 to 1

"Philip was amazing! I’ve always wanted to build a dolls house but didn’t know where to start. Philip was recommended to me and through several correspondences we came up with a plan. Philip accommodated my brief while adding his own expertise. I wanted to do as much of the build as possible, but knew my limitations, so Philip did all the main cutting and I now have a kit to complete in the summer. He responded to my emails promptly and was so helpful, I never felt anything was too much for him. I’d definitely use him again and would highly recommended him. My grandchildren are going to love their dolls house!"

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"You're very kind Jenny. Thank you. It was an interesting project to help you with and I'm sure it will be satisfying when your tools out and finish the assembly and decoration. The photo instructions are comprehensive, but you know I'm on call if you need any clarification. I look forward to a photo of the finished job :o)"

Matthew Lee reviewed: Beginner woodwork - 1 to 1

"I had a BRILLIANT afternoon with Philip in his workshop. I really felt as though Philip tailored the time to my particular learning goals and experience (of which I went in with literally zip). I've come away feeling both more confident practically (my original aim) and creatively inspired. A week later and I'm still buzzing (like a fret saw) about woodworking!"

Quicksticks Workshop responded:

"Thanks for the kind review Matthew. I'm glad you enjoyed the session and now feel inspired. It was great meeting you and I hope to welcome you back in the future for another project with lots of laughs as before. Cheers"
