I have enjoyed the felting online course very much and am pleased with my first pebble. The instructions in the video show a great depth of knowledge, they are very detailed; so it's easy to follow & get a good result.
This course has expanded my creative practice & inspired me to explore felting further in other creative formats. I can definitely recommend to all and especially people who want to try different materials & learn new techniques.
This was a really informative and enjoyable workshop.
I had done other felting workshops before but I’m confident this would be also be suitable for complete beginner. I was guided through a range of techniques and was able to complete a picture working alongside Heather in the second half of the video. I’d suggest not starting with a design but pausing in the middle to assemble it once you’ve seen the various ways this can be achieved. I came away with the understanding of how to make further pieces on my own and feel inspired to keep going!
It was a well planned and organised session. The materials were delivered in plenty time. Heather was very helpful and involved us all.
I can't rate the fabulous service from Heather at Purr and Wag It highly enough. I bought the wet felted vessels package as a gift for my sister-in-law and Heather answered my initial email enquiry within minutes! I was able to choose colours, delivery preferences and add a message, which Heather popped on a gift tag. The materials were gift wrapped and sent direct to my sister-in-law. Heather emailed me, complete with photos of everything beautifully gift wrapped, to confirm it had been sent. I'm sure she's going to love it! Thank you Heather for such super, personal service.
Response from Purr & Wag It, Tabletop Workshops:Tina thank you
Heather sent all the materials needed in plenty of time and clearly labelled. She had the online tutorial set up really well, so that we could watch her hands working as well as see her face as she talked us through. We got several pebbles made during the workshop, with lots of material left over to try more at home. She was patient and inclusive and I thoroughly enjoyed learning from her. Thank you.
Response from Purr & Wag It, Tabletop Workshops:Thank you Victoria!
I really enjoyed the course. It was well timed and we each made 3 felted pebbles. I feel inspired to make more!
This was a well presented course. Timing was just right, presentation clear and Heather was very informative. Would definitely recommend
Great couple of hours happily making pebbles. Heather taught us beautifully - nicely paced class and materials arrived ordered and in plenty of time. Would definitely recommend it.
I very much enjoyed learning to make felt pebbles with Heather. She was a great teacher and the pace of the class was really good. I was really pleased with the techniques I learnt and the pebbles I made . I thought Heather explained everything really well and she was very helpful . I would definitely recommend this workshop. Thankyou Heather.
Thank you Heather
The pdf is great, very clear
I very much enjoyed the sessions and will definitely make further projects
Teaching was excellent
Highly recommended the Purr & Wag It pebble felting. I really enjoyed this activity. Very relaxing. Great demonstration video, step by step guide. The pebble kit was labelled and arrived quickly. I'm very pleased with the pebbles I made.
Response from Purr & Wag It, Tabletop Workshops:Thank you Amanda, delighted you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for the workshop it was very useful and fascinating, and a process that I definitely want to use this year.
Thank you for those book recommendations as well!
Myself and two colleagues did this workshop as part of a team Christmas socialnevent and we all loved it.
Heather was great at explaining the steps to create the mistletoe and we were all impressed with the end result. Thanks Heather
Great afternoon doing something different. Very pleased with the end product. Heather kindly allowed us to organise as a mini work Christmas social event and it worked really well. Thanks Heather!
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I’m delighted with my everlasting Mistletoe. The workshop was carefully planned with clear and very friendly instruction. All materials arrived in the post beautifully wrapped and email communication prior to the workshop was great.
Many thanks Heather.
This was a very enjoyable workshop and I have made a beautiful sprig of mistletoe that will come out every year. It's a bit fiddly to make but Heather is a very patient and thoughtful teacher and the mistletoe is really exquisite. Definitely recommended if you are reasonably crafty and want to make something special.
Went on this course yesterday to make a wet felted picture. Heather is a great teacher and takes you through step by step explaining the reasons behind things. Loads of colours to choose from and just the right amount of time to come away with a finished product. I feel I have learned a lot and could improve on what I made next time so I would like to go back. It is a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours and we even had tea and bakes to help us along the way. The flapjacks were lovely :-)
My daughter and I enjoyed our afternoon learning how to make felt pictures. Heather explained everything very clearly and had lots of colours available and we could make more by carding. This was helpful to get the shading to work on our pictures. I was very pleased with the picture I made of my cat, it came out much better than I expected - as I'm not very artistic.
Had a fantastic afternoon learning how to make a 2D felt picture last Saturday. The atmosphere was relaxed and the teaching supportive and informative. I was really surprised and pleased with the work I was able to achieve in the 3 hours and am looking to go back to perfect my skills and learn more about the process. I came away feeling really energised and excited about learning a new skill and Heather had time for us all and we all came away with a great piece of art. I am really keen to do more now and will be looking to take this up as another art form...
I would highly recommend....
A very good introduction to 2D wet felting with a finished personal felt creation to take away at the end of the afternoon. The venue was handy for Denmark Hill train station and Heather provided a cuppa and delicious cake. The small group size of 4 allowed for individual help when required and Heather kept an eye on the time and gently moved us through the different stages so we all completed our pieces. No matter what subject, there was a rainbow of coloured wool to choose from or to blend to produce the right shade. We learned extra on how effects could be achieved from observation of other students‘ pieces. Heather answered all my questions promptly before and after the workshop. For those few hours of the workshop I was totally absorbed in the process and the whole experience was a pleasure.
