Maker's bio

I aim to provide relaxed, friendly and fun workshops combining my experience from fashion/textiles printing and many years teaching GCSE and A level students in their Fine Art and Textile studies. It's all about exploring possibilities with colour, shape, layers, pattern and textures - which I love to do within my own work, creating a range of prints and collages on paper, fabric and cards.

Martin reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"My lino cut course was brought as a gift by my wife. Having a keen interest in printing and previously given a kit that I hadn’t got around to using, I was understandingly excited about the course. All communications before the event was very thorough, even a follow up email to warn of traffic issues previous participants had a few days before. A warm welcome was given by Judith and with the basic admin dealt with, a quick demonstration was carried out and an explanation of all the equipment to be used. After a little play with cutters, our designs and ideas came out and Judith chatted with all of us about what would be achievable. It seemed that we all had different requirement but Judith effortlessly went around the room getting everybody started. Drawing and cutting before lunch and then after a demonstration we were into inking. Numerous prints were done, with a bit of experimentation when we all got a bit more confident. At the end of the day I went home with many prints, I just need to decide which one to frame. Many thanks to Judith for this outstanding day, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough."

"The workshop was bought as a present for my husband for Christmas, and the whole experience was fantastic. The communication before the workshop from Judith was clear, helpful, and I’ve only heard positives about the workshop itself from the attendee. All in all, great stuff. "
